The Road to BookCon 2017

So, we are pretty excited about this bit of news: WE ARE GONNA BE AT BOOKCON IN JUNE!!!!! But you know what? Planning the trip can be hectic. #thestruggle

1. Getting your tickets!

THE EXCITEMENT BEGINS! It's official! The tickets are bought and now you just have to wait anxiously by your mailbox for them to arrive. Are they a little pricey? Yes, but SO worth it to meet literary QUEENS Cassie Clare and Sarah J Maas.

2. Finding a place to stay

Ok, let's be real here - staying in New York is expensive, y'all! That's why we bribed a friend who lives there with a signed copy of Victoria Aveyard to let us stay at her house! ;)

3. DECIDING WHICH AUTHORS TO SEE!

So, there is this rule: You can only sign up to go to 2 author signings per day. How are you supposed to choose between Cassie Clare, Sarah J Maas, and Lemony Snicket!? Also, with Bill Nye thrown into the mix, it makes it nearly impossible! #whattodowhattodo

4. Trying to decide what books to bring!

So, there is another sad rule: you can't bring rolling bags to the convention. So, that means that we have to pack as many books as we can into backpacks and totes! We need books to get signed, books to read on the journey there, books to bring to panels to discuss. What to do!? Maybe we will drag our entire bookshelves around (technically they aren't rolling bags) ;)

5. What to wear!?

We need the PERFECT bookish outfits to wear! Do you get the official BookCon shirt? Wear a witty t-shirt with a book quote on it? We decided to get a little creative and make our own Wandering Midnight t-shirts! (Which will probably also have a witty book quote on them) ;)

6. THE WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE AGONY!!!!!! How can you POSSIBLY wait patiently for something you are so excited about!? WE ARE COMING FOR YOU BOOKCON! HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE! ;)
